Like A Stuntman: Original Bedouin Culture

Like A Stuntman are a German band who have had more attention from the UK than Europe and mix up glitsch-pop, experimental electronica, krautrock, woozy psychedelia, freak folk and a soupçon of acid-jazz. Schneider TM makes a big deal of their breath of influences in the accompanying press release but it all feels like there’s a bit too much eclecticism and not enough filtering. But the willingness to ignore boundaries works really well on the summery, Tropicalia-flavoured ‘MC Sensation’ and Animal Collective-style tribal beats of ‘No Tundra No Sun’.
