Alive & On Fire: The Dead Weather Announce First Album In Five Years

Given Jack White's usual work rate, it's somewhat surprising that The Dead Weather (who also include Dean Fertita, Jack Lawrence and Alison Mosshart) have taken half a decade to release the follow-up to 2010's 'Sea Of Cowards', but finally it's here. 'Dodge & Burn' will be released in September through White's Third Man imprint. Four previously available songs, 'Open Up (That's Enough)', 'Rough Detective', 'It's Just Too Bad', and 'Buzzkill(er)', were released through Third Man's Vault subscription series, and eight brand new songs will complete the record.
As is to be expected of Third Man releases, there will be a deluxe edition to be released the same week as the regular version as another part of the Vault series. It will be available to order online until July 31st (head to the Third Man website, linked below) and includes an alternately designed copy of the record, the 'I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)' b/w 'Cop and Go' 7", and a pack of playing cards that features the band as the King, Queen, Jack, and Joker.
