Marvin

English born Canadian resident Marvin B Naylor has been charming this site for a couple of years now with his sunkissed pop. Just Things spends a couple of lovely wistful opening minutes with Marvin setting the scene to the ballad in a gentle Richard Hawley-kind of way before switching to psychedelic dreamy mode with swirling strings. Personally I'm not sure the two sides to the song sit comfortably alongside each other and maybe should be the key elements to two separate numbers but it still reaffirms Marvin's place in SoundsXP's hearts.
