Silence At Sea
The Oh-No Telephone 12 track demo

Article written by Paul M - Jul 29, 2008

There's not much you can get for 2 quid these days, maybe a loaf and some lard to put on it. Or for those of you with a more discerning palate you could buy this charming twelve track effort from Cardiff's Silence At Sea from their Myspace page (though remember, kids, it's not edible!). Brimming with plinky keyboards, floaty girl harmonies and gently strummed guitars it may not have your neighbour banging on the wall but averaging at only two minutes a track nothing ever runs the risk of overstaying its welcome. Imagine Stereolab attempting to play indie-pop folk but constantly running out of 50 pence pieces for the 'lecky, and you get a clue of what to expect.
