The School
4 Tracks

The School are an 8 piece from Cardiff formed by Liz of the terrific psychedelic bubblegum popsters, the Loves. All four tracks here are saccharine sweet candy nuggets with the swooping strings and shimmering keys evoking the twee sounds of Belle and Sebastian and Lucky Soul. Of the peaches in the bowl the juiciest are the last pair; Valentine is a 60s girl coo-pop classic with lush harmonies while All I Wanna Do is the Eastenders tune produced by Spector, performed by Mari Wilson and is so gorgeous you’ll want to lick its face off. Very promising indeed.
