Vanilla Ride are new kids about town and they tick all the right boxes siting The Ramones, Mary Chain and The Breeders as influences and declaring that they’re fed up with jagged post-punk bands. So, what do they sound like? well, you can probably guess. The songs are short, sharp and poppy, just how they should be and whilst not being the most sophisticated bunch of tracks they certainly have a catchy garage band swagger about them. One of the highlights here is Anti Rock-Chick Song which is a lively ruse of a song that delivers a karate kick to the head of Top Shop pseudo rock chicks.
