Mercury Rev-ved Up Again! Hear A Track From Their First New Album In Seven Years

Given their their commercial peak came with the widespread acclaim and coverage of 1998's 'Deserter's Songs' and its follow-up, 2001's 'All Is Dream', it was something of a surprise that social media has just gone into meltdown at the news that Mercury Rev will be back with their first proper album since 2008's 'Snowflake Midnight', but they clearly still have a wide following. Bella Union will release the new record, 'The Light In You', on September 18th and shortly after the band will be over for UK and Irish dates. Judging by glorious first track 'The Queen Of Swans', they're still a force to be reckoned with. Scroll down to hear it.
