Scarily good C86 and 80s indie boxset on way

Scared to get happy
A veritable treat is in store for fans of early 80s indie and C86 and early Sarah. Scared To Get Happy - A Story Of Indie-Pop 1980-1989, a 4-CD Box, is set to be released by Cherry Red in spring 2013.

It describes itself as "a Nuggets-inspired 4-CD box set devoted to the 1980s Indie guitar pop revolution which swept across the British Isles. From the post-punk scene and Postcard Records through the explosion of bands celebrated by the NME on their famous C86 cassette through to perhaps the ultimate distillation of the scene, Sarah Records, Scared To Get Happy celebrates a golden era."

It has a pool of recordings, most of which it plans to include, that feature the following gems:
