Nomeansno - no-one warned Tommy never to go ask for his ball back from no 22.
Ancient Canadian hardcore merchants Nomeansno are celebrating, well, something probably (still being alive?) by making available a free download album.
0+2=1½ is a really rather fabulous selection of out-takes from the sessions that produced possibly their finest album: 1991's 0+2=1.
If you know them, this is well worth the bother - containing all the humour and musicianship which makes their bass-heavy, loud guitared, sort-of-jazzy, punk much more enjoyable than many of their counterparts.
If you don't then, for an out-takes album, it's a surprisingly good intro to what they do. There's plenty of bands around the country carrying on in this vein, notably That Fucking Tank and arguably, Future of the Left. Fans of those would do well to take the chance to check out some of the old masters of the craft. The link to the downloads is below.
