Fake Ray
Star Maps North and South

Article written by Gemma R - Jun 15, 2005

There can be no doubt as Star Maps kicks in what London three piece Fake Ray are all about. Their blend of guitar pop rock smacks of Placebo right down to singer John Rays vocal style. Second track Sister Rita is less uplifting and returns to a more laid back summer feel. Fake Ray could easily provide the background music as you stagger drunkenly round any muddy festival field. Just dont expect to remember the song the next day. With plenty of energy and drive despite only being together one year as a band Fake Ray have the promise to succeed.
