Single Review

Flipron
Dogboy Vs. Monsters Tiny Dog

Article written by Neil W - May 11, 2007

dogboy.jpg

Dogboy Vs. Monsters is the new single by national hidden treasures Flipron and it shines brighter than the crown jewels after some extreme buffing. The song is a catchy little number about a super hero dog detective and the central driving riff bounds along like a slobbering Alsatian chasing after a particularly saliva inducing stick.

The A side is accompanied by two songs including a slightly grey sounding Skeletons on Holiday; presumably the skeletons are on holiday at a drizzle coated Southend rather than the sunny Waikiki beach of the album version. The other track, Cartoons, Astronomy etc., is another dog related track, well cartoon dogs anyway. The song trots along like a mischievous little Scotty dog in the park, at night.

Make sure you check out the rather marvellous video for Dogboy.. which features giant CGI crabs! Watch it here.
