With this belated single release off last year’s excellent Yellow House LP, Brooklyn’s Grizzly Bear are more genteel teddies than snarling crazed beasts. This is thoughtful indie, haunting almost, its harmonies drifting over a ponderous droning riff while gently plucked strings gambol around. It’s not an obvious single, being far from something to tap along to but, along with its marvellous semi-ambient B-side, it’s still a fascinating product of beauty. Lovely.
