They live in a haunted house in Austin, Texas and their music is similarly haunted by the psychedelic sounds of the fellow Austin-ers the Thirteenth Floor Elevators. ‘Better Off Alone’ has a pure 60s narco-rock strain, pumping out tantric guitars riffs and primal drum patterns as Christian Bland does his best Jim Morrison impression over the top. Flip it over and the live 'Tomorrow Always Knows' is a woozy drone-rock drug-dream. While the single is good, it’s not truly representative of the psychedelic majesty of the ‘Passover’ album, possession of which is strongly recommended.
