Arborist
Twisted Arrow Arborist Music

Arborist is the project of Mark McCambridge, Belfast based but clearly influenced by Americans like Jason Molina and Bill Callahan on the evidence of magnificent debut single (7” and download) ‘Twisted Arrow’. Even if it didn’t have Kim Deal’s lovely harmonies smothering it like honey, it would be outstanding for its rootsy melancholy and melodic sense. The violin is a little old-timey but the song sounds fresh and alive, if a little battered by experience. Kim is just the cherry on top of a gorgeous confection.
