Cha-Cha
Phonographic Love Pop Noodle

Article written by James G - Jan 31, 2010

Cha-Cha’s ‘Phonographic Love’ has provided me with an enormous sense of relief.

‘Why’s that James G?’ you ask. ‘Is it because this slice of early 70s ish singalonga disco stomping makes you feel like getting up and grooving around your living room? Er, no. ‘Well, is it because you, being a Nathan Barleyesque type character, feel like catching this trio at one of their (apparently) all – too – rare live outings at some Hoxton trendy dive bar? With all yer mates from the style mags?’ Er, no. Afraid not. I’m washing my nail clippings that night. ‘Well, why, then?!? It must be because you’ve stumbled across an act who have been labelled ‘London’s best kept secret band’. Again. No, certainly not.

It’s because I’ve now, after days of scratching my head, realised which act the opening 30 seconds of vocal in this song remind me of.

Climie Fisher.

'nuff said.
