We won’t spend much time on the a-side as it’s been the oft-played herald of her much anticipated album. Enough to say that it’s crunchy, riffy powerpop with a compelling rhythm and a sung/spoken torrent of wit and wordplay. It’s reminiscent of the best of the Lemonheads, a thought reinforced when you hear her cover of ‘Being Around’ on the flipside. Minimalised to voice and guitar, it repeats all Evan Dando’s goofy schtick with an alluring sweet grubbiness.
