Now this single is a burst of joy. The song starts off with Be My Baby drums and just as you’re feeling comfortable, a hooky refrain comes racing up to grab your attention by the lapels. Then, just as you’re getting familiar with that a ludicrously catchy chorus drop kicks the refrain out of the picture. Not to be outdone, the hooky refrain grabs a guitar and jumps right back in the action. Over three glorious minutes Boy Bear It In Mind wrestles with more melodies and ideas than most bands do across a whole album. This is how pop should be.
