You Me At Six
Finders Keepers Slam Dunk Records

Article written by Mary B - Jun 26, 2009

You Me At Six are a Surrey Quartet but you would think that they came from America. The vocals in particular have that 'americanised' pop twangy sound to them. It's the kind of track you would find on a Hollywood romcom exploring teenage sexuality when there is a 'serious' moment. It does not engage me on any level. It's not that it's really bad, it's just that it is not that good either. I find myself in 'indifferent' land. The press release says that it has an 'unforgettable' chorus but I totally disagree. The whole song is forgettable. I am sure it will find a following though. What am I saying?! Of course they have a following. They have a top 25 debut album entitled: 'Take off your colours'.

The B-side is a 'chirpy' take of Fall Out Boy's 'Sugar We're Going Down'. Says it all really. They should book tickets to The US of A. They will clean up there and if they book via British Airways they will be helping the economic downturn where air travel is concerned.
